The through holes are large and easy to solder. I made my own inductor for L1 using a 30mm E-core, bobbin and 24 gauge enamel wire as documented. I dipped the inductor, measures ~1.55 mH. The circuit is loud and easily adjusts from ~5 to 50kHz, no problem. The waveform looks clean on the scope.
