Generates 25000 volts DC at 1mA (tap points along the HV multiplier stack for specific lower voltage outputs; vary the input voltage for more precise output voltage control).
This power supply has a negative (-) output. Please see our CH25(+) if you require positive output. |
This low powered device may be used for battery or solar-powered applications. It is short circuit proof and suitable for capacitor charging without a current limiting resistor. It may also be used as low power high voltage power supply. Unit produces power and can give a nasty shock. It is not a static electric machine!
This high voltage module is capable of charging capacitors and other field worthy applications. It fits nicely into a 1 ½" ID plastic tube.
Can operate on 9-14VDC input for some variability to the HV output voltages, but do not exceed 14VDC input as this may overdrive and damage the HV power supply. The nominal input is a 12V DC power source which you may already have, but if not then we recommend our 12DC/2AR wall adapter, or one of our 12VDC rechargable batteries. You can also use a "battery cradle" of 8 AA batteries, a setup that would allow the cradle and power supply to fit into a 1.5" ID tube, for example.
Size is 6.75 x 1.5 x 1.25", weighing about 5 ounces.
This item is assembled and ready to use. It is also available in a kit version with all parts requiring assembly, or as paper plans with parts and assembly required (or as downloadable plans for roughly half the price). |
