This device is intended as an attention getting desk or bar special effects piece. Produces an adjustable repetition of high voltage open-air spark discharges of several cm.
Easy to build Tesla coil produces up to a 40 mm point to point 50,000-volt spark discharges. Spark repetition rate is selectable between a heavy and slow or a fast and light discharge. Sparks are very audible and visual for the small size of this unit.

Operates from a 12-volt battery or a safe 12 volt 300 ma wall adapter (included) to run off wall power. Unit features a built in timer allowing individual adjustment of "off" and "on" times from several seconds to several minutes. Once the "off" and "on" cycling times are set, the unit can be left on as an interesting display.
Excellent action science display project or use as a room desk or bureau piece. Unit includes Off/On, Timer Enable/Disable and Spark Texture Switch. Device is built in a 6 x 2.5 x 2" plastic enclosure. Kit includes all parts with a fully screened printed circuit board.
