Long Range Laser Window Bounce Listeners
and Optical Voice Communication Systems
Remarkable concept where you listen to sounds picked up from a reflecting surface illuminated by a laser. These light reflections, or scatter, are reproduced back to the original sound by our special optical receiver.
Assembled laser and receiver modules may be placed on video tripods and temporarily aligned for limited performance demonstration systems. They may also be enclosed as shown in the instructions for use as a field worthy device with a potential range of up to 500 feet. May be used as a long range laser voice communicator with a range usable to 10 miles line of sight. Low cost audio surveillance science project or useful device for listening to power line faults, over pressured pipes, etc.
Includes LVC1 long range optical voice communication system.
|These are paper plans: 37 pages of drawings, schematics, and instructions, requiring parts and assembly (also available as downloadable plans for roughly half the price). Includes CWL2 plans.
Also available as a kit with plans and all parts included, requiring assembly.
Or fully assembled and ready to use.
The modules can be set up on individual tripods to show the proof of concept. This is not a field-worthy system for covert surveillance. To build a usable field-worthy system is up to the purchaser of the modules to enclose them in a housing and place them on a stable platform that he must build himself. He then must select the optics needed for his application. This may be beyond the capabilities of many buyers of these modules, so it is strongly suggested to purchase the downloadable or paper plans and study them to get an idea of what is involved.
Invisible Red High Performance System
Range of Up To 500'
You supply and build a precision mechanical enclosure with optical alignment features to house our CWL20 infrared laser (included) and LLR40 voice filtered optical receiver with basic collection lens (included) to gather the returning signal. Also includes a visible red laser module and TEST TONE OSCILLATOR for initial system alignment and aiming when in actual use. (See descriptions of CWL20 and LLR40 for further information about these components.) Includes plans and full instructions for use. An optional VOICE MODULATOR is included but not used for the laser listener system. Note that performance and range will depend on the precision of the housing and quality of optics used in the completion assembly.
