These are paper plans, requiring parts and assembly (also available as downloadable plans for roughly half the price).


Current Controlled Version
excellent for charging small MARX generators up to 500kv @ 500 joules

Continuous output current is below 5ma but can produce a painful shock. This is not the case where external capacitance can be charged above 50 Joules and be lethal!

All new 35 kilovolt at 1.5 milliamp power supply with adjustable current control is both short- and open-circuit protected. Small, lightweight unit is powered by 12v batteries for field use, or a low cost 12vdc/3amp converter for 115 vac use (not included; see our Power Converters if you need a 12V power supply). Attractive, eye-catching unit has a clear plastic cover revealing the circuitry innards. Highly reliable device can be used for powering ion sources, object charging, or as an excellent current source for charging capacitors in EMP, electro kinetic and pulse magnetic systems. May also be used for many laboratory and research applications. Available as a kit or ready to use with options as listed.

Front panel control is off/on switch that also adjusts to control the current. Includes indicator lamp, fuse and low cost low corona free connector. HV output is end point grounded for convenience. Small and light weight is approximately 8.75"L x 4.75"W x 4.75"H.

Current regulated version includes a 44 megohm 20 watt built in load resistor that can be removed.

Note: NEVER power 12V electronics from 12V battery chargers, as the chargers can operate up to 20V and may ruin your circuitry. Battery chargers should only be used to charge batteries, never as power supplies.
