Product Description

Low-cost compact green laser module, from 5 to 100 milliwatts. These require a 3 Volt DC power supply of 200-300ma (sold separately below, if needed -- do not use a power supply with too much amperage, or you will overdrive the diode and greatly shorten its lifetime). Includes lens, in a brass metal housing with connection leads. Great for those wanting to build a bright, visible beam mini-laser.

Also available as a focusable beam, a 60-degree line, and a 90-degree line.

Actual, measured output on a power meter will be less than the rated max output, for modules up to 20mw (so a rated 20mw diode may actually output 17mw, for example). For modules above 20mw, the actual output will be slightly higher than the rated output (a rated 30mw may actually output 35mw, etc.).

Size is 0.47" in diameter, by 1.25" in length (12mm x 32mm), not including the printed circuit board. Also available as a line generator at 60° or 90°, or with a focusable lens.

Eye Protection: our OLY-LSG-3 protect against this wavelength. Always exercise great caution when using any high-power laser.

Note: these modules should be attached to a heatsink if they will be run for extended periods (over 30 seconds at a time) -- the higher the power, the more important to keep them cool and reduce heat buildup and extra wear on the diode. Either passive cooling through a metal heatsink in contact with the brass housing, and/or active cooling with a small fan. If you need a laser to operate for extended periods of time, you should consider our PGL-FS or PGL-VH, which are designed for long-term use applications.
