6A 100V Diode / Rectifier

Some automobiles use neon transformers to power brake lights, directionals, and rear tail lights. We have had customers who have had these systems fail only to find that replacement costs are $400-700, and they have discovered that an easy fix is the use of 2 of our DC-series automobile transformers connected with diodes, which we sell here. Please note: you must know the electrical requirements of your own vehicle - we have no way to provide this information and cannot guarantee performance with your vehicle as we do not know its design parameters or electrical configuration. We can sell you the components, but you must know how to install them and how they work with your vehicle. Please note there is no refund on these units due to the fact they are being used in possibly incompatible circuits, however these problems are rare.

The diodes our customers have had success with (RECT6A100V rectifiers for making a 2-step ballast) are available here for purchase. You may need from 1 to several of these per transformer to achieve the required differential brightness between running and brake lights (this will depend on your vehicle and its setup, so the user forums or a vehicle repair manual may let you know).
