Green Laser Pointers

These laser pointers produce an intense green beam that is highly visible under most conditions. In darkness and even low-light, the entire beam can be visible as it cuts through the air, making it an excellent long-range pointing device (as an astronomical aid to point out stars and planets, for example). Intensity is about 35 times brighter than a red 670 nm basic laser pen (or 10 times greater than red at 635nm; see our Spectral Scan for the eye's sensitivity to different wavelengths). Visible effects are greatly enhanced over water, in the fog, rain or snow and humidty, and at night. If one was to look from a distance in the direction of the laser, it would appear as the brightest source of light on the horizon for many miles.

We have a variety of green laser pointers available: there is a standard laser pointer; another with a focusing lens for adjusting the size of the dot; one is chrome plated for an elegant, 'executive' look; there is a laser with a 'switch' button that keeps it running until turned off; and a laser with multiple lenses that create different special-effects patterns.

All of these lasers are 5mw (Class 3A), ready-to-use devices. A collimator (not included, CLICK HERE to download more information on Extender Lenses) can extend the range up to x7, or >10 miles!

Green Portable Lasers

These powerful green lasers emit a visible green ray of light, so that you are able to see the entire ray of light, not just the impact point (more pronounced with greater darkness and higher power, of course). Excellent astronomical aid where the laser light appears to reach up and actually touch the target star providing a positive identification.

The power of a 100+ milliwatt system is easily demonstrated by pointing the laser at a flat black surface and noting the impact point burning and smoking (greatly enhanced by the use of a focusing lens!). It is possible to break balloons and kill insects under controlled conditions. Obviously these lasers are very hazardous and require protective eyewear and extreme caution when used for laboratory experimentation. These lasers must also be used with caution around people and animals to completely avoid eye and skin exposure. Range is optically unlimited.

The PGLIIIA green lasers run on 2 AA batteries, don't have radiant heat fins, are overall smaller than the flashlight-sized lasers, and have an interrupt-style power switch (hold down for power; whereas the III/IIIC use an on-off power switch that remains on until pushed again).

This rare laser pointer produces a unique, novel, and amazing yellow beam. It is one of the first yellow laser pointers in the world. Visible effects are greatly enhanced over water, in the fog, rain or snow. When one looks in the direction of the laser, it will appear as the brightest source of light on the horizon from a distance of many miles.
