These are intended for the laser system original equipment manufacturer (OEM) offering a laser product to the public. These modules as sold are not FDA compliant. The manufacturer must add these compliances in his finished product to be legal for public sale in the USA. Our modules have output power ratings of 2-5 milliwatts (CLASS 3A) and from 5 to 600 milliwatts (CLASS 3B).

Compliances for CLASS 3B are:

laser diode Red laser diode and circuit board. The LD630P10 is a 10 milliwatt 630nm red laser diode that can produce a visible red beam 10 to 20 times brighter than a standard laser pointer. Class 3B laser compliances. Includes VRL3 plans with pc board. Size: 0.22" diameter x 0.14" high (0.395" with leads). Note: this is a laser diode that is unattached to a circuit -- you must follow the instructions for soldering the diode to the pc board (included).

Red focusable module. Size 8x21mm (0.3" x 0.8"), optically coated glass lens, 10-35° operating temperature, 3VDC operating voltage, 0.1~0.6mrad divergence. Smallest dot diameter of 0.5mm at 30cm; dot size can be focus adjusted according to distance. This is a small laser module with a built-in focusing lens (a special tool is useful to adjust focus, such as a clipped-off paperclip).

Green Laser Modules & Diodes
laser module

Green Laser Module (point, line, or focused): low-cost and compact, from 5 to 100 milliwatts. These require a 3 Volt DC power supply of 200-300ma (from a wall adapter or 3V battery). Includes lens, in a brass metal housing with connection leads. Great for those wanting to build a bright, visible beam mini-laser. Actual, measured output on a power meter will be less than the rated max output, for modules up to 20mw (so a rated 20mw diode may actually output 17mw, for example). For modules above 20mw, the actual output will be slightly higher than the rated output (a rated 30mw may actually output 35mw, etc.). Size is 0.47" in diameter, by 1.25" in length (12mm x 32mm), not including the printed circuit board. Also available as a line generator at 60 or 90 degrees, or with a focusable lens. These modules include our LPROJGR1 plans.

Ultrasmall green module. The S-GDL-532 ultra-small laser is the smallest module on the market that can produce up to 150 milliwatts of continous 532 nm green laser beam which can actually burn an object at close range. Applications include use for small laser systems, laser scanning and alignment, aiming, surveying and display. A circuitboard is attached to the laser diode (modulation requires the 5V board, and an external function generator [not included]). The circuitboard dimensions are approximately 0.635" long x 0.425" wide x 0.18" thick (the 5V board is 1.38" x 0.55" x 0.27"). The 5V circuitboard is attached to an aluminum heatsink. Note that these modules will require cooling either by a fan or thermoelectric cooler if operated over 30 seconds at a time. If smaller divergence is needed, PGL-VI is available.

Small divergence green module. The PGL-VI-532 is a wide temperature range small module that can produce from 10 to 150 milliwatts of continous 532 nm green laser which can actually burn an object at close range. Applications include use for small laser systems, laser scanning and alignment, aiming, surveying and display. A circuitboard is attached to the laser diode (modulation requires the 5V circuitboard, and an external function generator [not included]). The circuitboard dimensions are approximately 0.64" long x 0.43" wide x 0.18" thick (the 5V board is 1.38" x 0.55" x 0.27"). The circuitboard may also be attached to an aluminum heatsink. Note that these modules will require cooling either by a fan or thermoelectric cooler if operated over 30 seconds at a time. If smaller size is needed, SGDL is available.

Green diode pumped module. The PGL-I-R-532 is a long-lifetime two-part diode pumped module (laser head and power supply, both included) that can produce from 1 to 30 milliwatts of continous 532 nm green laser with narrow divergence. Modulation is available with this laser module (see product details for more info). Applications include use for collimation, laser medical treatment, scientific experimentation, optical instrumentation, etc. Will require air or thermo electric cooling if operated for extended periods over 1 minute at a time.

All solid-state 200-600mw green laser module features high-quality diode and driver circuit, with optical glass lens. A user-friendly design provides convenient push-button operation, with a blue LED to indicate when power is applied.

A high efficiency IC controller chip generates low heat and has an operating voltage range of 2.9-4.2V to help maintain constant current output without reducing output power, extending the battery life. The IC chip contains a high-temperature cutoff to prevent overheating, extending the laser's life, and also features a power "soft-start" which quickly ramps up the current to its operating level, avoiding a high current spike to the laser diode and effectively further extending its life. more information

InfraRed Laser Modules & Diodes

Infra-Red Laser Module Infrared Laser Module. High power invisible 30 milliwatt infrared laser at 980 nanometers operates on 3 volts (such as 2 AA batteries, or a 3V wall adapter; spring is "-", brass housing is "+"). This module is a Class 3B device and requires protective eyewear when viewing the beam or any potential direct reflections or scatter. Intended for experimental use in window bounce systems, target designation, optical x-rays, IR holography and general optical research. The module may be temporarily powered with just a 3 volt battery pack. Module measures 1/2" diameter x 1/2" length (or 1-1/4" length including pcb, or 1-3/4" length including pcb and spring) and includes a built-in adjustable collimating lens within the brass housing (adjustable with a wide-head phillips screwdriver).
