The high energy pulser is a programmable capacitor charging device with a built-in, all tungsten, triggered spark switch.
It can be used for the following electrokinetic projects:
The system is built on a metal chassis of 10 x 17" with a metal control panel of 21 x 8.5".
The panel contains a meter that reads the charge voltage on the capacitor energy storage bank being charged, a safety switch that can be replaced by a key switch, a power control that allows pre-programming the voltage level that the system will charge to, a charge button that must be depressed during the charge cycle, a fire button that triggers the spark switch, and two LED's indicating charging and ready to fire modes.
The electronics uses a 60 Hz current limited core and coil transformer with heavy duty rectifiers and a dv/dt protection resistor. Switching is by a relay and hardened electronics.
The trigger pulse uses our DC integrating system providing reliable firing of the spark switch.
External connection lugs are heavy duty #6 block lugs with set screws assuring a positive connection. All connection lugs are positioned to help reduce power robbing stray inductance. Input power is via a 3 wire grounded cord set.
The HEP90 can be operated with energy storage of 100 to 3000 Joules at voltages from 2 to 6Kv. Low inductance loads will require our trigger pulse blocking cores inserted onto the discharge lines as shown in the set up drawings.
You will note that our PPRO1 - Plasma Thermal Gun, MASS10 - Mass Driver, MAGCAN10 - Magnetic Cannon, WIREXPLOD10 - Wire Exploding, and CANCRUSH10 - Can Crusher, all use this basic system along with the 96Mfd/4.5Kv Capacitor Bank. The individual low cost peripherals can now be purchased for the required projects.
