These low powered devices may be used for battery or solar applications. They are short circuit proof and suitable for capacitor charging without a current limiting resistor. They may also be used as low power high voltage power supplies.

Charges capacitors to rated voltage and allows to set for determining excessive internal leakage.
Small lightweight unit measuring 5 ½ x 2 ¼ x 1 ½” converts 12 vdc to over 20kv dc for charging capacitors or just supplying a potential. Can be used with 8 AA alkaline batteries that can produce >90,000 Joules (!) or just use our #12DC/.5 wall adapter for 115 vac operation. The charge rate is about 0.25 joule/sec. Higher voltage units available on request. This device is best-suited for use with our ceramic capacitors or similar (taking care to not overcharge the smaller capacitors). For charging our photo flash and electrolytic capacitors (or similar), the CHARGE800V is better suited.

Low-cost, high-quality shorter "Doorknob" capacitors with axial threaded terminals. As with all of our capacitors (unless otherwise noted), these are brand new. Voltages available at 50KV, 40KV, and 20KV. The 40KV capacitor, for example, has the same specs as the .001u/40KVDKT (above), but is half the length and therefore better suited to Cockcroft Walton multipliers or other high voltage applications where distance is a factor.

Dual .0033 µfd 30 kv capacitors are internally connected for a voltage doubler circuit capable of 50 to 60 kv at up to 50 ma. Low Power 800V 30mA Manually Programmable Charger for Electrolytic, Photo Flash and Other Equivalent Capacitors

Handy electronic circuit charges up electrolytic capacitors from 100 to 800 volts. Recommended capacities are between 100 to 5,000 µfd. This equates out to over 3000 joules! (Note that the kinetic energy of a .30-06 is 750 joules.) Units are manually voltage controlled by an internal adjustment that presets a charge indicator lamp when the required voltage is reached. This feature helps prevents over charging and potentially dangerous explosions. Charging is current controlled by our unique circuitry. Input power can be C or D cell batteries or 12 vdc adapter for direct 115 vac power. Charging rate is over 40 (watt-sec) joules. Size is 5 x 4 x 2” This device is best-suited for use with our photo flash and electrolytic capacitors. For charging our ceramic capacitors (or similar), the PBK50 is better suited. Scyllac Type
Here is the holy grail of high energy fast discharge capacitors. These large units are the dream components of many high voltage, high energy experimenters. Capacitor is rated 1.3 µfd at 100,000 volts at a 60,000 amp discharge capability. Ultra low inductance is excellent for shock pulsers, wire exploding, EMP generation, etc. These capacitors are used but are guaranteed to output between 80 and 90% of their original ratings. Units measure 14”L x 11”W x 25”H and weigh 220 pounds with ground ring terminations. Capacitors are strapped on pallets for shipping by truck. The original cost of these units are about $6700.00.

Here is the "holy grail" answer to the high energy enthusiast experimenting with electro-kinetic rail guns, coil guns, high energy discharges, magnetizers, etc. Capacitors are un-used in their original packing. Size is 28" x 13-½" x 6-¾" and weight is 90 pounds. Capacitors have dual terminals for low inductance or convenient series and paralleling. Ten of these connected in parallel will produce 115,000 joules. May be connected in series for augmented rails, parallel for standard configurations, or used individually for segmented rail systems.
